Hanuman Chalisa, Chaupai 38

Meaning of “jo sat bār pāṭh kar koī”

"jo sat bār pāṭh kar koī" is Chaupai 38 of the Hanuman Chalisa, which Tulsidas wrote in Awadhi. It means: Whoever recites this a hundred times is freed from bondage and finds great joy. Read it slowly, one half at a time, and say the Awadhi aloud.

जो सत बार पाठ कर कोई ।छूटहि बंदि महा सुख होई ॥jo sat bār pāṭh kar koīchūṭahi bandi mahā sukh hoī

Whoever recites this a hundred times is freed from bondage and finds great joy.
