Hanuman Chalisa, Chaupai 15

Meaning of “jam kuber digpāl jahāṁ te”

"jam kuber digpāl jahāṁ te" is Chaupai 15 of the Hanuman Chalisa, which Tulsidas wrote in Awadhi. It means: Yama, Kubera and the guardians of the directions cannot tell your glory in full. How could poets and scholars? Read it slowly, one half at a time, and say the Awadhi aloud.

जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते ।कबि कोबिद कहि सके कहाँ ते ॥jam kuber digpāl jahāṁ tekabi kobid kahi sake kahāṁ te

Yama, Kubera and the guardians of the directions cannot tell your glory in full. How could poets and scholars?
