गायी जानेवाली श्रुतियोंमें बृहत्साम और वैदिक छन्दोंमें गायत्री छन्द मैं हूँ । बारह महीनोंमें मार्गशीर्ष और छः ऋतुओंमें वसन्त मैं हूँ ॥
English
Among hymns I am the Brihat-Sama; among meters I am Gayatri. Among months I am Margashirsha; among seasons I am spring.
श्लोक का अर्थ
Krishna says he is the finest sacred chant, the most revered meter, the best month, and the season of spring.
संदर्भ और टिप्पणी
On the battlefield, Krishna keeps expanding Arjuna's vision of where he can be found. After naming death, memory, and speech as his forms, he now points to sacred sound, time, and the turning of the seasons. The teaching is that nothing beautiful or ordered stands outside him.
