English
Through devoted love, one truly knows Me as I am. Knowing Me in truth, one enters into Me at once.

What this verse means

Devoted love lets a person know Krishna truly, beyond surface ideas. That true knowing leads straight into closeness with him.

Context & commentary

On Kurukshetra, after Krishna has described the calm devotee who no longer clings or grieves, he gives the culmination of bhakti. The final question is no longer how to act, but how to know the divine directly and completely.

Why this verse still matters

You can study someone for years and still miss them. Then one act of wholehearted love cuts through every theory and makes them unmistakably real.

The takeaway

Love is not just feeling; it becomes the way to real understanding and intimacy.
