Bhagavad Gita for loneliness and being far from home

The Gita’s answer to loneliness is not a crowd. It is a presence: Krishna says he lives in the heart of every being, and that one who sees him everywhere is never lost to him. For anyone far from family, these verses are a way home.

5 verses from the Gita

  1. Whoever sees me everywhere is never lost to me, nor I to them.

“Who sees Me in all beings and sees all beings in Me, I am never lost to that person, and that person is never lost to Me.”

You do not have to force closeness when you learn to recognize the same presence everywhere.

“O Arjuna, the Lord abides in the heart of all beings and, by His maya, causes all beings mounted on a body-machine to revolve according to their nature.”

“I am equal toward all beings. No one is hated by me, and no one is especially dear. But those who worship me with devotion dwell in me, and I dwell in them.”

You do not have to earn basic worth; devotion changes distance into intimacy.

You can stop bracing yourself when the deepest reality is friendly.
